Together Again! – May 1st, 2022, 2:30 pm
We are getting ready for our first performance in over two years. Join us on Sunday afternoon, May 1st, as we sing an eclectic programme of music from classical to jazz, including the premiere of a new piece by our conductor Nicholas Fairbank. Nicholas teamed up with bass singer and history buff Gordon Shrimpton to write a modern sea shanty about the famous HMS Bellerophon, a British naval ship which took part in the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805. Also joining us will be our new collaborative pianist Jody Onuma and flautist Kristina Stevens.
Also on the programme, and in keeping with the concert’s nautical theme, will be a surprise performance by two members of the Bon Accord Highland Dance Studio.
Tickets for this concert are available now – go to the Tickets page for details.
Welcome to Via Choralis!
If you are looking for a choir to join, you have come to the right place.
As we return to being able to sing together, Via Choralis is meeting on Monday evenings, 7:15 – 9:15, following all health protocols, including being masked and distanced. All singers must be fully vaccinated and show proof of vaccination at their first rehearsal.
After taking an extended winter break due to the Omicron variant, we are back to in-person rehearsals on Monday, February 21st. We anticipate preparing a public performance in Sidney on May 1st – watch for further details as the date approaches.
If you have questions about Via Choralis, or would like to join us, please contact me at email@example.com.
