I hope you have all been staying healthy and enjoying the summer weather. I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at our first fall gathering (rehearsal and meeting) to be held on Monday evening, August 31st, 6:30 – 8:00 pm in the back garden of Gordon Shrimpton in Gordon Head. You should have received a separate notice about this, sent out by email on August 9th.
For the fall term, while there are no public concerts planned, we want to provide as much opportunity as possible for you all to keep singing, and for us to meet in person as long as we are able to do so following health and safety protocols. Therefore I see the term from September to December consisting of (1) in-person rehearsals (small groups, either indoors or outdoors), (2) Zoom rehearsals, and (3) preparation and recording of a few virtual choir videos, working on repertoire that we will plan to perform live once public concerts can resume again.
Do please plan to attend the first event on the 31st. Bring your mask, your music, a sweater, and your own snacks/drinks, and be prepared to sing and discuss the coming year.
